The Federal Communications Commission will hold an Open Meeting on
the subjects listed below on Thursday, May 27, 1999, which is scheduled

SUMMARY: The Commission will consider a Seventh
Report and Order and Thirteenth Order on
Reconsideration (CC Docket No. 96-45); Fourth
Report and Order (CC Docket No. 96-262); and a
Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to
implement recommendations of the Federal-State
Joint Board on Universal Service relating to
high-cost support for non-rural carriers.

Service (CC Docket No. 96-45); and Forward-
Looking Mechanism for High Cost Support for Non-
Rural LECs (CC Docket No. 97-160).
SUMMARY: The Commission will consider a Further
Notice of Proposed Rulemaking concerning input
values for the forward-looking economic cost
model that will be used to determine high cost
support for non-rural LECs.

Control Petition for Rulemaking to Amend the

Waiver to Implement a Technology Specific
Overlay in the 508, 617, 781, and 978 Area

SUMMARY: The Commission will consider a Notice
of Proposed Rulemaking to increase the
efficiency with which telecommunications
carriers use telephone numbering resources.
