AGENCY: Bureau of Indian Affairs, Interior.
ACTION: Notice of Tribal Consultation Meeting.

SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that the Bureau of Indian Affairs
(BIA), Office of Tribal Services, will conduct a consultation meeting
with Indian tribes to obtain oral comments concerning:
1. The proposed transfer of welfare assistance funds to the Tribal
Priority Allocations budget system in FY 1996 by the BIA's Division of
Social Services.
2. The proposed transfer of contract support funds to the Tribal
Priority Allocations budget system in FY 1996 by the BIA's Division of
Self-Determination Services.
3. The proposed resource allocation for the Housing Improvement
Program and proposed revisions for program regulations by the BIA's
Division of Housing Services.
4. The proposed rule describing the base support funding formula
for the distribution of Indian Tribal Justice Act funds by the BIA's
Branch of Judicial Services.
5. The proposed regulations establishing minimum standards of
character, caseload standards and funding distribution formula as
required by Pub. L. 101-630, the Indian Child Protection and Family
Violence Prevention Act.
All oral comments presented at the tribal consultation meeting will
be recorded, transcribed and taken into consideration by the agency in
the development of the final regulations and or funding distribution
methodologies.
DATES: June 20 through 22, 1995. The consultation meeting will commence
at 8:30 a.m., June 20, 1995, and conclude at 5 p.m. June 22, 1995.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The purpose of the consultation meeting is
to provide Indian tribes, tribal and BIA program personnel, tribal
organizations, and interested persons an opportunity to present oral
comments on the proposed actions. Briefing books and deadline dates for
the submission of written comments on the proposed actions and
regulations will be mailed to all Federally recognized Indian tribes
and BIA area directors.
