Notice of meeting.

SUMMARY:

The Black Hills National Forest Advisory Board (Board) will meet in Rapid City, South Dakota. The Board is established consistent with the Federal Advisory Committee Act of 1972, the Forest and Rangeland Renewable Resources Planning Act of 1974, the National Forest Management Act of 1976, and the Federal Public Lands Recreation Enhancement Act. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 1:00 p.m.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

The purpose of the meeting is to provide:

(1) Orientation Topic: Black Elk Wilderness Preparedness Plan;

(2) Mount Roosevelt Friendship Tower 100th Anniversary Celebration;

(3) Devil's Bathtub parking;

(4) Mineral Withdrawal Botanical Area and Research Natural Area Working Group update;

(5) Motorized Trail Strategy Working Group update;

(6) Recreation Site Analysis (RSA) Working Group update; and

(7) District updates.

The meeting is open to the public. If time allows, the public may make oral statements of three minutes or less. Individuals wishing to make an oral statement should submit a request in writing by May 6, 2019, to be scheduled on the agenda. Anyone who would like to bring related matters to the attention of the Board may file written statements with the Board's staff before or after the meeting.
