AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of public meeting.

SUMMARY: The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council will convene a 
public meeting of the Mackerel Stock Assessment Panel.

DATES: This meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. on June 20, 1996 and 
conclude at 4:00 p.m. on June 26, 1996.

ADDRESSES: The meeting will be held at NMFS Southeast Fisheries Science 
Center, 75 Virginia Beach Drive, Miami, FL.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Mackerel Stock Assessment Panel will 
review data and develop a stock assessment for the Gulf of Mexico 
migratory group of king mackerel including ranges of acceptable 
biological catch for the 1996-1997 fishing season.
