Sunshine Act Meeting; Notice of a Change in Subject Matter of
Agency Meeting
Pursuant to the provisions of subsection (e)(2) of the ``Government
in the Sunshine Act'' (5 U.S.C. 552b(e)(2)), notice is hereby given
that at its open meeting held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 1998,
the Corporation's Board of Directors determined, on motion of Director
Joseph H. Neely (Appointive), seconded by Director Julie L. Williams
(Acting Comptroller of the Currency), concurred in by Ms. Carolyn Buck,
acting in the place and stead of Director Ellen S. Seidman (Director,
Office of Thrift Supervision), and Acting Chairman Andrew C. Hove, Jr.,
that Corporation business required the withdrawal from the agenda for
consideration at the meeting, on less than seven days' notice to the
public, of the following matter: Memorandum re: General Counsel Opinion
Regarding Interest Charges by Interstate State Banks.
The Board further determined, by the same majority vote, that no
notice earlier than April 22, 1998, of this change in the subject
matter of the meeting was practicable.
