Notice of Establishment

    Pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act of October 6, 1972 
[Pub. L. 92-463, 86 Stat. 770-776] and section 402(b)(6), of the Public 
Health Service Act, as amended [42 U.S. Code 282(b)(6)], the Director, 
National Institutes of Health (NIH), announces the establishment of the 
Scientific and Technical Review Board on Biomedical and Behavioral 
Research Facilities.
    The Scientific and Technical Review Board on Biomedical and 
Behavioral Research Facilities (Board) shall provide advice to the 
Director of the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) and the 
National Advisory Research Council (NARRC). The Board shall determine 
the merit of the grant applications requesting funds to construct 
facilities and additions to or renovations of existing facilities to 
meet the research needs of applicant institutions, and shall report the 
results of the determination to the Director, NCRR, and the NARRC.
    Duration of this committee is continuing unless formally determined 
by the Director, NIH, that termination would be in the best public 
interest.
