National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases;
the National Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases Advisory
Council and Its Subcommittees
Pursuant to Public Law 92-463, notice is hereby given of a meeting
of the National Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases Advisory
Council and its subcommittees, National Institute of Diabetes and
Digestive and Kidney Diseases, on June 1-2, 1994. The meeting of the
full Council will be open to the public June 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 12
noon and again on June 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wilson Hall,
Building 1, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, to
discuss administrative details relating to Council business and special
reports. The following subcommittee meetings will be open to the public
June 1 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.: Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic
Diseases Subcommittee meeting will be held in Wilson Hall, Building 1;
Digestive Diseases and Nutrition Subcommittee meeting will be held in
Conference Room 9A51, Building 31A; and Kidney, Urologic and
Hematologic Diseases Subcommittee meeting will be held in Conference
Room 7, Building 31C. Attendance by the public will be limited to space
available.
In accordance with the provisions set forth in sections 552b(c)(4)
and 552b(c)(6), title 5, U.S.C. and section 10(d) of Public Law 92-463,
the meetings of the subcommittees and full Council will be closed to
the public for the review, discussion and evaluation of individual
grant applications. The following subcommittees will be closed to the
public on June 1, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on June 2 from 8:30 a.m. to
10 a.m.: Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Diseases Subcommittee;
Digestive Diseases and Nutrition Subcommittee; and Kidney, Urologic and
Hematologic Diseases Subcommittee. The full Committee meeting will be
closed on June 2, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. These deliberations
could reveal confidential trade secrets or commercial property, such as
patentable materials, and personal information concerning individuals
associated with the applications, disclosure of which would constitute
a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.
