Boston Edison Company; Notice of Application
May 2, 1996.
Take notice that on April 26, 1996, Boston Edison Company filed an
application, under Sec. 204 of the Federal Power Act, seeking
authorization to issue short-term debt, from time to time, in an
aggregate principal amount not to exceed $350 million, outstanding at
any one time, on or before December 31, 1998, with final maturities no
later than December 31, 1999.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 888 first Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426
in accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of
Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 385.214). All such motions
or protests should be filed on or before May 28, 1996. Protests will be
considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to
be taken, but will not serve to make the protestants parties to the
proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion to
intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and
are available for public inspection.
