National Pin Service Site: Notice of Proposed Settlement
AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency.
ACTION: Notice of proposed settlement.

SUMMARY: Under Section 122(g) of the Comprehensive Environmental
Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA), as amended
42 U.S.C. 9601 et seq., the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has
agreed to settle claims for response costs at the National Pin Service
Site, Saratoga, Wilson County, North Carolina, with the Defense
Reutilization and Market Service (DRMS), Defense Logistic Agency (DLA),
U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). EPA will consider public comments on
the proposed settlements for thirty (30) days. EPA may withdraw from or
modify the proposed settlements should such comments disclose facts or
considerations which indicate the proposed settlement is inappropriate,
improper, or inadequate. Copies of the settlements are available from:

Strickland at the above address within thirty (30) days from the date
