NASA Advisory Council, Aero-Space Technology Advisory Committee,
Goals Subcommittee; Meeting
AGENCY: National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
ACTION: Notice of meeting.

SUMMARY: In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act, Pub. L.
92-463, as amended, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration
announces a NASA Advisory Council, Aero-Space Technology Advisory
Committee, Goals Subcommittee meeting.
DATES: Tuesday, June 22, 1999, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Wednesday, June
23, 1999, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Thursday, June 24, 1999, 8:00
a.m. to 12:00 noon.
ADDRESSES: National Aeronautics and Space Administration, 300 E Street,
SW, Washington, DC 20546-0001. The meeting will be held in the Program
Review Center, Room 9H-40.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The meeting will be open to the public up to
the seating capacity of the room. Agenda topics for the meeting are as
follows:
Finalize the process the committee will use to analyze the progress
the NASA Aero-Space Technology Enterprise is making towards the 10
Enabling Technology Goals.
Using the above procedure, review the following Enabling Technology
Goals:
--# 4--While maintaining safety, triple the throughput, in all weather
conditions, within 10 years.
--# 7--Enable doorstep-to-destination travel at 4 times the speed of
highways to 25% of the Nation's suburban, rural, and remote communities
in 10 years and more than 90% in 25 years.
It is imperative that the meeting be held on these dates to
accommodate the scheduling priorities of the key participants. Visitors
will be requested to sign a visitors register.
