    Iroquois Gas Transmission System, L.P.; Notice of Proposed 
    Changes in FERC Gas Tariff
    
    June 5, 1997.
        Take notice that on May 29, 1997, Iroquois Gas Transmission System, 
    L.P. (Iroquois) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, 
    First Revised Volume No. 1, the tariff sheets listed on the filing, to 
    become effective June 1, 1997.
        Iroquois states that these sheets were submitted in compliance with 
    the provisions of the Commission's May 19, 1997 Order Accepting and 
    Rejecting Tariff Sheets, Subject to Conditions, and Denying Rehearing, 
    70 FERC para. 61,196 (May 19, 1997). In its Order, the Commission 
    accepted tariff sheets that Iroquois had filed on April 2, 1997, 
    subject to Iroquois filing revised sheets to reflect certain changes. 
    The tariff sheets included herewith reflect the changes required by the 
    Order.
        Iroquois also states that copies of this filing were served upon 
    all customers and interested state regulatory agencies.
        Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest 
    with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., 
    Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
    Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed in 
    accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. 
    Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
    appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants 
    parties to the proceeding. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
    Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public 
    Reference Room.
