    June 5, 1997.
Take notice that on May 30, 1997 K N Interstate Gas Transmission
Co. (KNI) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, the
following revised tariff sheets, to be effective July 1, 1997:

    Third Revised Volume No. 1-A
    First Revised Sheet No. 4-E
    First Revised Sheet No. 4-F
    First Revised Volume No. 1-C
    Eighth Revised Sheet No. 4

KNI states that this filing adjusts KNI's fuel and loss
reimbursement percentages through the reconciliation of KNI's actual
fuel and loss volumes with the quantity retained in kind for calendar
year 1996. KNI proposes an effective date of July 1, 1997 for the
    revised fuel and loss percentages.
KNI states that copies of the filing were served upon KNI's
mainline and Buffalo Wallow customers, interested public bodies, and
    all parties to the proceedings.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy

accordance with Sections 385.211 and 385.214 of the Commission's Rules
of Practice and Procedure. All such motions or protests must be filed
as provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. All
protests filed with the Commission will be considered by it in
determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to
make protestants parties to the proceedings. Any person wishing to
become a party must file a petition to intervene. Copies of this filing
are on file with the Commission and are available for public
    inspection.
