Steuben Gas Storage Company; Notice of Request for Further 
Extension of Time To Implement Business Standards

June 8, 1998.
    Take notice that on May 14, 1998, Steuben Gas Storage Company 
(Steuben), filed a request for an indefinite extension of time to 
implement the electronic communications and Internet transaction 
requirements of the Commission's Order Nos. 587-B, 587-C and 587-G (Gas 
Industry Standards Board Standards 4.3.1 to 4.3.4).
    Steuben states that a copy of this request has been sent to each 
person on the official service list.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., 
Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be file on 
before June 15, 1998. Protests will be considered by the Commission in 
determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not service to 
make protestants parties to the proceedings. Copies of this filing are 
on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection in 
the Public Reference Room.
