        Title: 30 CFR part 250, subpart A, General.
        OMB Approval Number: 1010-0030.
        Abstract: The MMS proposes to amend the regulations at 30 CFR part 
    250 by adding a proposed section, Sec. 250.27, Safety of operations 
    communication. This proposed requirement will require operators of 
    offshore production platforms to notify incoming or new personnel 
    arriving on the platform of the status of repairs of process equipment, 
    safety systems, or other systems that are out of service. This will 
    require operators to maintain records of all communications.

        Frequency: On occasion.
        Description of Respondents: Federal Outer Continental Shelf oil and 
    gas lessees.
        Estimated Completion Time: 27.41 hours (rounded).
        Annual Responses: 4,605 (rounded).
