Notice of Approval of Final Management Plan for the Wells 
National Estuarine Research Reserve

AGENCY: Sanctuaries and Reserves Division, Office of Ocean and Coastal 
Resource Management, National Ocean Service, National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of Approval and Availability of Final Management Plan.

SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that the Sanctuaries and Reserves 
Division (SRD), Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management, has 
approved the revised final management plan for the Wells National 
Estuarine Research Reserve. A 30-day public comment period was 
provided, but no comments were received.
    The Wells National Estuarine Research was designated in September 
1984. Pursuant to section 315 of the Coastal Zone Management Act, 16 
U.S.C. Section 1461, and implementing regulations, the Wells Management 
Authority in conjunction with SRD staff has produced a five-year 
management plan that provides a course of action for managing the site 
from 1996 through 2001.
