Notice is hereby given that the Bureau of Land Management is
considering a proposal to exchange lands pursuant to section 206 of the
Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (43 U.S.C. 1716), as
amended. The exchange has been proposed by Seneca Jones Timber Company,
P.O. Box 10265, Eugene, OR 97440.
The following-described public lands are being considered for
transfer out of Federal ownership (the ``Selected Land''):

In exchange, the United States would acquire the following-
described lands from Seneca Jones Timber Company (the ``Offered
Land''):

Subject to valid existing rights, the above-described public lands
have been segregated from appropriation under the public land laws and
mineral laws for a period of five years beginning June 2, 1994.
More detailed information concerning the proposed exchange may be
obtained from John Radosta, Realty Specialist, Bureau of Land
Management, Salem District Office, 1717 Fabry Road SE., Salem, OR
(telephone: (503) 375-5664).
Interested parties may submit comments concerning the proposed
exchange to the Santiam Area Manager at the above address. In order to
be considered in the environmental assessment of the proposal, comments
must be in writing to the Area Manager and be postmarked or delivered
by July 29, 1994.
