This notice amends the notice of a major disaster for the State of Florida (FEMA-4399-DR), dated October 11, 2018, and related determinations.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

Notice is hereby given that, in a letter dated May 17, 2019, the President amended the cost-sharing arrangements regarding Federal funds provided under the authority of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq. (the “Stafford Act”), in a letter to Pete Gaynor, Acting Administrator, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department of Homeland Security, under Executive Order 12148, as follows:

I have determined that the damage in certain areas of the State of Florida resulting from Hurricane Michael during the period of October 7 to October 19, 2018, is of sufficient severity and magnitude that special cost-sharing arrangements are warranted regarding Federal funds provided under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq. (the “Stafford Act”).

Therefore, I amend my declarations of October 11, 2018, October 14, 2018, and March 9, 2019, to authorize Federal funds for debris removal and emergency protective measures (Categories A and B), including direct Federal assistance, under the Public Assistance program at 90 percent of total eligible costs, except for assistance previously approved at 100 percent.
