[Declaration of Disaster #2948]


State of North Dakota; Amendment #1

    In accordance with notices received from the Federal Emergency 
Management Agency, the above-numbered Declaration is hereby amended as 
follows: (1) To establish the incident period for this disaster as 
beginning on February 28, 1997 and continuing through May 24, 1997, and 
(2) to extend the deadline for filing applications for physical damages 
as a result of this disaster to July 7, 1997.
    All other information remains the same, i.e., the deadline for 
filing applications for economic injury is January 7, 1998.
