Advisory Council on Violence Against Women

AGENCY: United States Department of Justice.

ACTION: Notice of meeting.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

SUMMARY: The Council on Violence Against Women will meet on July 13, 
1995, at the White House Conference Center, 726 Jackson Place. The 
meeting will start at 10:00 a.m. and end at approximately 4:00 p.m. 
Agenda items to be covered include: Strategies to improve public 
awareness of violence against women; new public/private alliances to 
address the problem, and other topics related to violence against 
women.
    The meeting will be open to the public on a first-come, first-
seated basis. Anyone wishing to submit written questions to this 
session should notify the Designated Federal Employee, prior to the 
start of the session. The notification may be by mail, telegram, 
facsimile, or a hand delivered note. It should contain the requestor's 
name; corporate designation, consumer affiliation, or Government 
designation; along with a short statement describing the topic to be 
addressed. Interested persons are encouraged to attend.
