SUMMARY:
In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew an information collection. The collection is used to nominate private citizens for recognition of their significant voluntary contribution to aviation education and flight safety.
DATES:
Written comments should be submitted by August 22, 2011.

Background: The collection is used to nominate private citizens for recognition of their significant voluntary contribution to aviation education and flight safety. The agency/industry committee uses the information collected to select eight regional winners and one national winner from each group. The respondents are private citizens involved in aviation.
Respondents: Approximately 150 applicants.
Frequency: Information is collected annually.
Estimated Average Burden per Response: 1 hour.
Estimated Total Annual Burden: 150 hours.
