Extension of the Public Comment Period for the Draft 
Environmental Impact Statement on a Proposed Nuclear Weapons 
Nonproliferation Policy Concerning Foreign Research Reactor Spent 
Nuclear Fuel

AGENCY: Department of Energy.

ACTION: Extension of the public comment period.

SUMMARY: The Department of Energy is extending the public comment 
period through July 20, 1995, for the draft Environmental Impact 
Statement (EIS) on a Proposed Nuclear Weapons Nonproliferation Policy 
Concerning Foreign Research Reactor Spent Nuclear Fuel. All comments 
received by that date will be considered by the Department in the 
preparation of the final EIS. Comments received after the close of the 
comment period will be considered to the extent practicable. The 
Department had earlier announced (60 FR 19899, April 21, 1995) that the 
comment period would end on June 20, 1995. Comments can be mailed to 
Mr. Charles Head, Office of Spent Fuel Management, EM-37, U.S. 
Department of Energy, 1000 Independence Avenue SW, Washington, D.C.
