Changes in FERC Gas Tariff

Corporation (Transco) tendered for filing to become part of its FERC
Gas Tariff, Third Revised Volume No. 1, the tariff sheets listed below.
These tariff sheets are proposed to be effective June 1, 1997 and
August 1, 1997, respectively.

Pro Forma Sub 7th Revised Sheet No. 336
Transco states that the purpose of the instant filing is to comply
with the Commission's order issued May 29, 1997 in the referenced
docket (May 29, Order). The May 29 Order accepted certain tariff sheets
to be effective June 1, 1997 and directed Transco to file, within 15
days of such order, revised tariff sheets to provide a fall-back
provision in Transco's tariff in the event of the failure of electronic
communication equipment. In compliance with the Commission's May 29
Order, Transco states it has revised Section 28.1 of its General Terms
and Conditions to allow for written nominations in the event of a
failure of electronic communication equipment.
Transco states that it is serving copies of the instant filing to
customers, State Commissions and other interested parties.
Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street NE.,
Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed as
provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests
will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate
action to be taken, but will not serve to make the protestants parties
to the proceeding. Copies of this filing are on file with the
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public
Reference Room.
