Tennessee Valley Authority; Notice of Withdrawal of Application
for Amendment to Facility Operating License
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted
the request of the Tennessee Valley Authority (the licensee) to
withdraw its October 7, 1994 application for proposed amendment to
Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 for the
Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos. 1, 2, and 3, located in Limestone
County, Alabama.
The proposed amendment would have revised surveillance requirements
associated with emergency diesel generators.
The Commission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of
Issuance of Amendment published in the Federal Register on November 23,
1994 (59 FR 60387). However, by letter dated June 4, 1997, the licensee
withdrew the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the
application for amendment dated October 7, 1994, and the licensee's
letter dated June 4, 1997, which withdrew the application for license
amendment. The above
