for Amendment to Facility Operating License

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted
the request of the Tennessee Valley Authority (the licensee) to
withdraw its October 7, 1994 application for proposed amendment to
Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 for the
Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos. 1, 2, and 3, located in Limestone
    County, Alabama.
The proposed amendment would have revised surveillance requirements

The Commission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of
Issuance of Amendment published in the Federal Register on November 23,
1994 (59 FR 60387). However, by letter dated June 4, 1997, the licensee
    withdrew the proposed change.
For further details with respect to this action, see the
application for amendment dated October 7, 1994, and the licensee's
letter dated June 4, 1997, which withdrew the application for license
