SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION

Agency Meeting

    Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the 
Government in the Sunshine Act, Public Law 94-409, that the Securities 
and Exchange Commission will hold the following meeting during the week 
of June 27, 1994.
    An open meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 1994, at 10:00 
a.m., in room 1C30.
    The subject matter of the open meeting will be:

    The Commission will consider whether to approve a proposed rule 
change by the National Association of Securities Dealers (``NASD'') 
adopting a short sale bid-test for Nasdaq National Market 
securities. The proposal would prohibit short sales at or below the 
current inside bid as shown on the Nasdaq screen when that bid is 
lower than the previous inside bid. The proposal contains certain 
exemptions, including an eighteen month exemption for qualified 
Nasdaq market makers, options market makers, and warrant market
