Availability of Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Proposed
Reintroduction of Mexican Wolf to Historic Range in Southwestern United
States
AGENCY: Fish and Wildlife Service, Department of Interior.
ACTION: Notice of availability of a draft Environmental Impact
Statement (EIS) for the proposed reintroduction of the Mexican wolf
within its historic range in the southwestern United States.

DATES: Comments will be accepted until October 31, 1995. See table
below for dates of public meetings.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: A limited number of individual copies of the
draft EIS may be obtained by contacting the above address. Copies of
the draft EIS summary will be sent to everyone currently on the U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service's mailing list for information on the Mexican
Wolf Recovery Program. Copies of the draft EIS summary are available
upon request.
Copies of the draft EIS are available for inspection at public and
University libraries in the following counties: In Arizona, Apache,
Cochise, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, Navajo, Pima, and Santa Cruz Counties;
in New Mexico, Catron, Dona Ana, Grant, Lincoln, Hidalgo, Otero, Sierra
and Socorro Counties; and in Texas, Brewster County. They are also
available at libraries in Phoenix, Arizona; Tucson, Arizona;
Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
