General Mills Incorporated, CFTO-South Chicago Plant, Chicago, 
IL; Notice of Affirmative Determination Regarding Application for 
Reconsideration

    By letter of May 19, 1995, one of the petitioners requested 
administrative reconsideration of the Department of Labor's Notice of 
Negative Determination Regarding Eligibility to Apply for NAFTA-
Transitional Adjustment Assistance for workers at the subject firm. The 
Department's Negative Determination was issued on April 26, 1995 and 
was published in the Federal Register on May 9, 1995 (60 FR 24653).
    The petitioner claims that import data provided by the company were 
not accurate, and present evidence that imports of cereal from Mexico 
did impact General Mill's market share.

Conclusion

    After careful review of the application, I conclude that the claims 
are of sufficient weight to justify reconsideration of the Department 
of Labor's prior decision. The application is, therefore, granted.
