AGENCY: Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

ACTION: Notice of information collection submitted to OMB for review 
and approval under the paperwork Reduction Act of 1980.

SUMMARY: In accordance with requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act 
of 1980 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35), the FDIC hereby gives notice that it 
has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget a request for 
review of the information collection system described below.
Type of Review: Extension of the expiration date of a currently 
approved collection without any change in the method or substance of 
collection.
Title: Recordkeeping And Disclosure Requirements In Connection With 
Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity).
Form Number: None.
OMB Number: 3064-0085.
Expiration Date of OMB Clearance: August 31, 1995.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Regulation B (12 CFR 202) prohibits 
creditors from discriminating against applicants on any of the bases 
specified by the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, establishes guidelines 
for gathering and evaluating credit information, and requires creditors 
to give applicants a written notification of rejection of an 
application. Regulation B is issued by the Board of Governors of the 
Federal Reserve System (``FRB'') under the authority of Title VII of 
the Consumer Credit Protection Act (15 U.S.C. 1691). Section 703 of the 
Act (15 U.S.C. 1691b) designates the FRB as the issuer of the 
implementing regulations, and section 704(a) of the Act (15 U.S.C. 
1691c) designates the FDIC as having enforcement responsibilities in 
the case of insured nonmember banks.
