AGENCY: Forest Service, USDA.

ACTION: Cancellation of an environmental impact statement.

SUMMARY: On September 5, 1991, a notice of intent to prepare an 
environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Rocky Timber Sale on the 
Prineville Ranger District of the Ochoco National Forest was published 
in the Federal Register (56 FR 43901). Forest Service has decided to 
cancel the preparation of an EIS for this proposed action. The Notice 
of Intent is hereby rescinded.
