Alliant Techsystems, Inc., A/K/A Hercules, Inc. Kenvil, NJ;
Amended Certification Regarding Eligibility to Apply for Worker
Adjustment Assistance
In accordance with Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 USC.
2273) the Department of Labor issued a Notice of Certification
Regarding Eligibility to Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance on
April 28, 1995, applicable to all workers of Alliant Techsystems,
Incorporated, Kenvil, New Jersey engaged in employment related to the
production of propellants. The notice was published in the Federal
Register on May 9, 1995 (60 FR 24653).
New information received from the State Agency show that some of
the workers at Alliant Techsystems, Incorporated had their unemployment
insurance (UI) taxes paid to Hercules, Inc.
Accordingly, the Department is amending the certification to
properly reflect this matter.
The intent of the Department's certification is to include all
workers of Alliant Techsystems, Incorporated who were adversely
affected by increased imports.
The amended notice applicable to TA-W-30,904 is hereby issued as
follows:
``All workers of Alliant Techsystems, Incorporated, a/k/a Hercules,
Inc., Kenville, New Jersey engaged in employment related to the
production of propellants who became totally or partially separated
from employment on or after March 30, 1994 are eligible to apply for
adjustment assistance under Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974.''
