Tennessee Multi-Jurisdictional Radiological Emergency Response
Plan for the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant
AGENCY: Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: FEMA gives notice of receipt of the Tennessee Multi-
Jurisdictional Radiological Emergency Response Plan for the Watts Bar
Nuclear Plant. This plan supports a nuclear power plant that has
impacts on the State of Tennessee, and includes plans for local
governments near the Tennessee Valley Authority's Watts Bar Nuclear
Plant located in Rhea County, Tennessee.
DATES: FEMA received the plan on April 12, 1996. We invite comments on
the entire plan or portions of it, which must be received on or before
July 5, 1996.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Pursuant to 44 CFR Part 350.8, ``Review and
Approval of State Radiological Emergency Plans and Preparedness'', the
State of Tennessee Multi-Jurisdictional Radiological Emergency Response
Plan for the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant was received by the Federal
Emergency Management Agency Region IV office on April 12, 1996.
The Tennessee Multi-Jurisdictional Radiological Emergency Response
Plan for the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant contains plans for local
governments that are wholly or partially within the plume exposure
pathway emergency planning zones of the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant,
including plans for Rhea, Meigs, McMinn, Hamilton, Cumberland and Roane
Counties.
Copies of the plan are available for review at the FEMA Region IV
office, or are available upon request in accordance with the fee
schedule for FEMA Freedom of Information Act requests, as set out in
subpart C of 44 CFR Part 5. There are 1434 pages in the Tennessee plan;
reproduction fees are $0.10 per page, payable with the request for
copy.
Under 44 CFR 350.10, which requires a public meeting on the plan
before it is approved by FEMA, FEMA held a public meeting at the
Sweetwater Hotel, Sweetwater, Tennessee, on November 16, 1995.
