AGENCY: Federal Communications Commission.

ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: On May 29, 1996, Federal Communications Commission released a 
public notice, as required by law, to announce a meeting of the 
Federal-State Joint Board on June 5, 1996. The purpose of the notice is 
to inform the general public of a meeting that will be held by the 
Federal-State Joint Board on universal service.

Supplementary Information: The Federal-State Joint Board in CC Docket 
96-45 will hold an Open Meeting on Wednesday, June 5, 1996 at 12:30 
p.m., in Room 856 at 1919 M Street, NW., Washington, DC. At the 
meeting, the Federal-State Joint Board will hear from a panel of 
experts addressing universal service issues set forth in Section 254 of 
the Telecommunications Act.
