Public Information Collection Requirement Submitted to the Office 
of Management and Budget (OMB) for Review.

ACTION: Notice.

    The Department of Defense has submitted to OMB for clearance, the 
following proposal for collection of information under the provisions 
of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. chapter 35).
    Title: Application for Employment with a Foreign Government.
    Type of Request: Existing collection in use without an OMB Control 
Number.
    Number of Respondents: 141.
    Responses for Respondent 1.
    Annual Responses: 141.
    Average Burden Per Response: 1 hour.
    Annual Burden Hours: 141.
    Needs and Uses: The information collected hereby, is required in 
making approval determinations regarding foreign government employment 
in compliance with title 37, United States Code, section 908. Air Force 
retirees and eligible Reserve members are considered members of the 
Armed Forces when applying for employment with a foreign government, 
and require approval by the Secretaries of State and Air Force before 
accepting employment with a foreign government.
    Affected Public: Individuals or households.
    Frequency: On occasion.
    Respondent's Obligation: Required to obtain or retain a benefit.
    OMB Desk Officer: Mr. Edward C. Springer.
    Written comments and recommendations on the proposed information 
collection should be sent to Mr. Springer at the Office of Management 
and Budget, Desk Officer for DoD, room 3235, New Executive Office 
Building, Washington, DC 20503.
