    Notice of Availability; Michigan Proposed Resource Management 
    Plan Amendment/Environmental Assessment
    
    AGENCY: Bureau of Land Management, Milwaukee District.
    
    ACTION: Notice of availability.

    SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that the Bureau of Land Management 
    (BLM), Milwaukee District Office, has completed the Michigan Proposed 
    Resource Management Plan Amendment (RMPA) and Environmental Assessment 
    (EA) for the Disposal of U.S. Coast Guard Lighthouse Properties. The 
    RMPA/EA assesses the impacts of transferring eight tracts of public 
    land to the State of Michigan, other Federal agencies and non-profit 
    organizations.
        This notice is issued pursuant to 43 CFR 1610.5-1.
        Any person who has participated in the planning process and has an 
    interest which is or may be adversely affected by

    the approval of the plan amendment may protest such approval in 
    accordance with 43 CFR 1610.5-2. A protest may raise only those issues 
    which were submitted for the record during the planning process.
    
    DATES/ADDRESSES: Protests must be submitted in writing to the BLM 
    Director at the following address, postmarked no later than August 11, 
    1997: Director (WO-210), Bureau of Land Management, Attn: Brenda 
    Williams, 1849 C Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20240.
