    Williston Basin Interstate Pipeline Company; Notice of Tariff 
    Filing
    
    July 7, 1997.
        Take notice that on July 1, 1997, Williston Basin Interstate 
    Pipeline Company (Williston Basin), tendered for filing as part of its 
    FERC Gas Tariff, Second Revised Volume No. 1, the revised tariff sheet 
    listed on Appendix A to the filing, to become effective August 1, 1997.
        Williston Basin states that it has identified certain tariff 
    modifications which it believes are necessary to enhance its service to 
    its customers and certain tariff modifications which are necessary to 
    clarify existing services and that the proposed tariff sheets reflect

    such modifications, as all more fully set forth in the instant tariff 
    filing which is on file with the Commission and open for public 
    inspection.
        Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
    file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
    Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
    in accordance with Rule 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of 
    Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 385.214). All such protests 
    must be filed in accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's 
    Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in 
    determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to 
    make the protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to 
    become a party to the proceeding must file a motion to intervene. 
    Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and are available 
    for public inspection.
