    The Department of the Treasury has submitted the following public

    Special Request: In order to conduct the focus group interviews 
described below in the late-July/early-August 1996 time frame, the 
Department of the Treasury is requesting that the Office of Management 
and Budget (OMB) review and approve this information collection by July

    Title: 1997 TeleFile Tax Package Focus Groups.
    Description: The purpose of these focus group interviews is to 
obtain taxpayer feedback on the new TeleFile tax package and the 
interactive telephone system.
    Respondents: Individuals or households, Business or other for-
profit.
    Estimated Number of Respondents: 80.
    Estimated Burden Hours Per Respondent: 3 minutes.
