Pesticide Tolerance Petitions
AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency.
ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: This notice announces the filing of pesticide petitions and
food/feed additive petitions proposing the establishment of tolerances
and/or regulations for residues of certain pesticide chemicals in or on
certain agricultural commodities. The notice also announces the
withdrawal of a food/feed additive petition (FAP).

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: EPA has received pesticide (PP) and/or food/
feed additive (FAP) petitions as follows proposing the establishment
and/or amendment of tolerances or regulations for residues of certain
pesticide chemicals in or on certain agricultural commodities. There is
also one petition withdrawal.
Initial Filings
1. PP 4F4281. Rhone-Poulenc Ag Co., P.O. Box 12014, 2 T.W.
Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709, proposes to amend 40
CFR 180.399 by establishing a tolerance to permit combined residues of
the fungicide iprodione [3-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-N-(1-methylethyl)-2,4-
dioxo-1-imidazolidinecarboxamide], its isomer 3-(1-methylethyl)-N-(3,5-
dichlorophenyl)-2,4-dioxo-1-imidazolidinecarboxamide, and its
metabolite 3-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-2,4-dioxo-1-imidazolidinecarboxamide
in or on canola (rape seed) at 0.1 part per million (ppm). (PM-21)

P.O. Box 4913, Kansas City, MO 64120-0013, proposes to amend 40 CFR
part 180 by establishing a tolerance to permit combined residues of
imidacloprid, 1-[(6-chloro-3-pyridinyl)methyl]-N-nitro-2-
imidazolidinimine, and its metabolites containing the 6-chloropyridinyl

St., Philadelphia, PA 19103, proposes to amend 40 CFR 180.418 by
establishing a tolerance to permit residues of the insecticide
cypermethrin [() alpha-cyano-(3-phenoxyphenyl)methyl
()cis, trans-3-(2,2-dichloroethenyl)-2,2-
dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylate] in or on the brassica crop grouping:
2.0 ppm in or on head and stem brassicas and 14.0 ppm in or on leafy

4. PP 4F4293. Du Pont, Agricultural Products, Barley Mill Plaza, P.
O. Box 80038, Wilmington, DE 19880-0038, proposes to amend 40 CFR
180.184 by amending the existing tolerance residue of the herbicide
linuron (3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1-methoxy-1-methylurea) in or on wheat

establishing a tolerance to permit residues of the insecticide

dichloroethenyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylate) in or on sweet
corn, forage at 54.0 ppm; alfalfa, hay at 10.0 ppm; soybean, forage at
10.0 ppm; alfalfa, forage at 5.0 ppm; soybean, hay at 1.5 ppm;
sunflower, forage at 1.0 ppm; sweet corn at 0.05 ppm; soybean, bean at

Washington, DC 20005, proposes to amend 40 CFR 180.364 by establishing
a tolerance to permit combined residues of the herbicide glyphosate [N-
(phosphono-methyl)glycine] and its metabolite aminomethylphosphonic
acid (AMPA) resulting from the application of the isopropylamine salt
of glyphosate and/or the monoammonium salt of glyphosate in or on

establishing a tolerance to permit residues of the insecticide

proposes to amend 40 CFR part 180 by establishing an exemption from the
requirement of a tolerance for the plant growth regulator 1,4-

benzodioxol-4-yl)-1H-pyrrole-3-carbonitrile, proposed common name
fludioxonil, in or on sorghum, grain at 0.1 ppm, corn grain at 0.04
ppm, corn forage at 0.04 ppm, corn fodder at 0.04 ppm, sweet corn
(kernels plus cob with husks removed) at 0.04 ppm, sorghum, forage at

potatoes, rapeseed (canola), safflower, small grain crops, soybeans,

Kansas City, MO 64120-0013, proposes to amend 40 CFR part 180 by
establishing a tolerance to permit combined residues of the fungicide
beta-(4-chlorophenoxy)-alpha-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-1-
ethanol and its butanediol metabolite, 4-(4-chlorophenoxy)-2,2-
dimethyl-4-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-yl)-1,3-butanediol, calculated as
triadimenol, in or on barley, straw at 0.2 ppm; oats, straw at 0.2 ppm;

establishing a tolerance to permit the residues of the fungicide

hogs, horses, and sheep) at 0.1 ppm; poultry meat, fat, meat byproducts

2,2-dimethyl-3-[(RS)1,2,2,2-tetrabromoethyl]-cyclopropanecarboxylate,
and its metabolites, cis-deltamethrin, (S)-alpha-cyano-3-
phenoxybenzyl(1R,3R)-3-(2,2-dibromovinyl)-2,2-
dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylate, and trans-deltamethrin, (S)alpha-
cyano-3-phenoxybenzyl(1S,3R)-3-(2,2-dibromovinyl)-2,2-
dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylate, calculated as parent, in sorghum grain

186.2275 to increase the feed additive tolerance for residues of

additive regulation to permit combined residues of abamectin and its

29. FAP 9H5575. Notice appeared in the Federal Register of March
23, 1989 (54 FR 12010), that Mobay Corp., (now Miles, Inc.), P.O. Box
4913, Kansas City, MO 64120-0013, proposed to amend 40 CFR parts 185
and 186 by establishing a regulation to permit the residues of the
fungicide terbuconazole (a-[2-(4-chlorophenyl)ethyl[-a-(1,1-
dimethylethyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-1-ethanol) in or on barley milled
fractions (except flour) at 1.0 ppm, wheat milled fractions (except
flour) at 1.0 ppm, grape pomace (dry) at 12.0 ppm, and raisin waste at
6.0 ppm. Miles, Inc., has requested that the petition be withdrawn
without prejudice to future filing. (PM 21)
