    Importer of Controlled Substances; Notice of Registration
    
        By Notice dated May 18, 1995, and published in the Federal Register 
    on May 25, 1995 (60 FR 27788), Calbiochem-Novabiochem Corporation, 
    10394 Pacific Center Court, Attn: Receiving Inspector, San Diego, 
    California 92121-4340, made application to the Drug Enforcement 
    Administration (DEA) to be registered as an importer of the basic 
    classes of controlled substances listed below:

        A registered manufacturer did file a written request for a hearing 
    with respect to Amphetamine. Therefore, pursuant to Section 1008(a) of 
    the Controlled Substances Import and Export Act and in accordance with 
    Title 21, Code of Federal Regulations, Sec. 1311.42, the above firms is 
    granted registration as an importer of the basic classes of controlled 
    substances listed above with the exception of Amphetamine (1100).
