    Midwestern Gas Transmission; Notice of Tariff Filing
    
    July 7, 1998.
        Take notice that on July 1, 1998, Midwestern Gas Transmission 
    Company (Midwestern), tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas 
    Tariff, Second Revised Volume No. 1, the following revised tariff 
    sheets, with an effective date August 1, 1998:

    Third Revised Sheet No. 105
    First Revised Sheet No. 173
    First Revised Sheet No. 174
    First Revised Sheet No. 178
    Second Revised Sheet No. 179
    First Revised Sheet No. 180
    Original Sheet No. 204
    Original Sheet No. 205
    
        Midwestern is submitting these revised tariff sheets in order to 
    provide additional flexibility to its customers by allowing agency 
    agreements under each of its rate schedules and allowing for an 
    additional agency agreement for Electronic Data Interchange. Midwestern 
    also proposes to revise the tariff sheets to correct certain minor 
    misstatements and to update its agency tariff provisions. Midwestern 
    requests an effective date of August 1, 1998.
        Any person desiring to be heard or to protest this filing should 
    file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy 
    Regulatory Commission, 888 First Sheet, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
    in accordance with Sections 385.214 and 385.211 of the Commission's 
    Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed as 
    provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests 
    will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate 
    action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to 
    the proceedings. Any person wishing to become a party must file a 
    motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
    Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public 
    Reference Room.
