Algonquin Gas Transmission Co.; Proposed Changes in FERC Gas
    Tariff

    July 13, 1994.
Take notice that on July 11, 1994, Algonquin Gas Transmission
Company (Algonquin) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff,
Fourth Revised Volume No. 1, the following tariff sheets, with a
proposed effective date of August 1, 1994:

    Original Sheet No. 98E
    Eleventh Revised Sheet No. 20A

Algonquin states that the purpose of this filing is to provide for
the recovery of certain transition costs associated with upstream
capacity retained by Algonquin. Specifically, Algonquin seeks to
recover Account no. 858 stranded costs billed to Algonquin by Texas
Eastern Transmission Corporation (Texas Eastern). Algonquin requests
that the Commission waive Section 154.22 of the Commission's
regulations to the extent that may be necessary to place these tariff
    sheets into effect as requested.
Algonquin notes that copies of this filing were served upon each
affected party and interested state commissions.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 825 North Capitol Street, N.E., Washington, D.C.
20426, in accordance with 18 CFR 385.214 and 385.211 of the
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests should
be filed on or before July 20, 1994. Protests will be considered by the
Commission in determining the appropriate to be taken but will not
serve to make protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing
to become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of this
filing are on file with the Commission and are available for public in
    the Public Reference Room.
    Lois D. Cashell,
    Secretary.
