Temporary Closure of Certain Public Lands Managed by the Bureau 
of Land Management, Las Vegas District

AGENCY: Bureau of Land Management, Interior.

ACTION: Temporary closure.

SUMMARY: The Las Vegas Stateline Resource Area within the Las Vegas 
District will issue temporary closures of certain public lands for the 
protection of persons, property, resources and public lands for the 
purpose of BLM permitted off-highway vehicle races.
    The date, time, and legal location of the closure will be announced 
five working days prior to the event via local media. A map of the 
affected lands will be available for inspection at the Las Vegas 
District office. The following are exceptions to the closure:

--Race entrants
--Authorized pit crews, course monitors, and race officials
--Spectators within designated spectator areas

    Violation of this closure is punishable by a fine not to exceed 
$1,000 and/or imprisonment not to exceed 12 months. Authority for 
temporary closures is contained in Title 43 CFR, subpart 8364.1.
