SUMMARY:

An open meeting of the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel Joint Committee will be conducted. The Taxpayer Advocacy Panel is soliciting public comment, ideas, and suggestions on improving customer service at the Internal Revenue Service.

The meeting will be held Thursday, August 20, 2009, Friday, August 21, 2009 and Saturday, August 22, 2009.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 5 U.S.C. App. (1988) that an open meeting of the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel Joint Committee will be held Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2009 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 22, 2009 from 8 to 12 p.m. Eastern Time in Atlanta, GA.
