    ACTION:

    Proposed rule.

    SUMMARY:

    This document requests comments on a petition for rule making filed by Charles Crawford, requesting the allotment of Channel 297A to Goldthwaite, Texas, as that community's first local aural transmission service. This proposal requires a site restriction 14.4 kilometers (9.0 miles) west of the community at coordinates 31-28-29 NL and 98-43-11 WL. Additionally, as Goldthwaite, Texas, is located within 320 kilometers (199 miles) of U.S.-Mexico border, concurrence of the Mexican government to this proposal is required.

    Comments must be filed on or before September 4, 2001, and reply comments on or before September 18, 2001.
