2014-17547. Agenda and Notice of Public Meeting of the Maine Advisory Committee

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (Commission), and the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), that a planning meeting and briefing meeting of the Maine Advisory Committee to the Commission will convene at 12:00 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday, August, 14, 2014, at Lewiston City Hall, City Council Chamber, 27 Pine Street, Lewiston, ME 04240. The purpose of the briefing meeting is to hear from government officials, experts, and advocates regarding sentencing disparities in Maine. The planning meeting will include reviewing and voting on the committee's Human Trafficking report.

Members of the public are entitled to submit written comments. The comments must be received in the regional office by Monday, September 15, 2014.
