    The Department of Defense has submitted to OMB for clearance the 
following proposal for collection of information under the provisions 
of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35).
    Title, Associated Form, and OMB Number: End-Use Certificate; DLA 
Form 1822; OMB Number 0704-0382.
    Type of Request: Extension.
    Number of Respondents: 40,000.
    Responses Per Respondent: 1.
    Annual Responses: 40,000.
    Average Burden Per Response: 20 minutes.
    Annual Burden Hours: 13,200.
    Needs and Uses: This information collection is used to control the 
ultimate disposition of Munitions List Items and Commerce Control List 
Items. Successful bidders are checked to determine if they are 
responsible and are not debarred bidders, Specially Designated 
Nationals or Blocked Persons and will not divert the property to 
denied/sanctioned countries or unauthorized destinations. Respondents 
are customers, who purchase surplus property, munitions, and commerce 
list items.
    Affected Public: Individuals or households; Business or Other For-
Profit; Not-for-Profit Institutions; State, Local or Tribal Government.
    Frequency: On occasion.

    Respondent's Obligation: Required to obtain or retain benefits.
