Viking Gas Transmission Company; Notice of Request for Waiver

June 27, 1996.
    Take notice that on June 21, 1996, Viking Gas Transmission Company 
(Viking) tendered for filing a request for a waiver of the Commission's 
Order No. 563 requirement to provide electronic file downloading 
according to standards for Electronic Data Interchange.
    Viking states that copies of the filing have been mailed to all of 
its jurisdictional customers and to affected state regulatory 
commissions.
    Any person desiring to be head or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, DC 20426, in 
accordance with rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice 
and Procedure. All such motions or protests should be filed on or 
before July 8, 1996. Protests will be considered by the Commission in 
determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to 
make protestants parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to 
become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing 
are on file with the Commission and are available for public 
inspection.
