SUMMARY:

This notice contains a summary of a petition seeking relief from specified requirements of Federal Aviation Regulations. Petition for Exemption

Docket No.: FAA-2018-0107.

Petitioner: HessJet, LLC.

Section(s) of 14 CFR Affected: § 135.225(a).

Description of Relief Sought: The petitioner seeks an exemption from § 135.225(a) to allow HessJet to conduct IFR approach procedures in fixed wing aircraft at airports that do not have an approved weather reporting source. The petitioner proposes to use the safety procedures of part 97, Instrument Approach Procedures, to airports not equipped with weather reporting facilities.
