ACTION: Notice of Advisory Committee Meetings.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY: The Defense Science Board will meet in closed session on
August 5-16, 1996 at the Beckman Center, Irvine, California.
The mission of the Defense Science Board is to advise the Secretary
of Defense and the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and

perceived needs of the Department of Defense. At that time the Board
will examine the substance, interrelationships, and the US national

Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology. The subject
areas are: Achieving and Innovative Support Structure to Enhance Early

culminate in the formulation of specific recommendations to be
submitted to the Secretary of Defense, via the Under Secretary of
Defense for Acquisition and Technology, for his consideration in
determining resource policies, short- and long-range plans, and in
shaping appropriate implementing actions as they may affect the U.S.

been determined that this DSB meeting, concerns matters listed in 5
U.S.C. 552b(c)(1) (1988), and that accordingly this meeting will be
closed to the public.
