Exemption of Certain Substances from Requirements of the Federal 
Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act

AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

ACTION: Notice to the Secretary of Agriculture.

SUMMARY: Notice is given that the Administrator of the Environmental 
Protection Agency (EPA) has forwarded to the Secretary of Agriculture a 
proposed rule under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide 
Act (FIFRA). The proposal would exempt certain substances from the 
requirements of FIFRA. This notification to the Secretary of 
Agriculture is required by FIFRA section 25(a)(2).

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Section 25(a)(2) of FIFRA provides that the 
Administrator shall provide the Secretary of Agriculture with a copy of 
any proposed rule at least 60 days before signing the proposal for 
publication in the Federal Register. FIFRA also provides that the 
Administrator may, by agreement with the Secretary, modify or waive the 
time requirements of the notification. This notice announces that the 
Administrator of the EPA has forwarded to the Secretary of Agriculture, 
a proposed rule that would exempt certain substances from the 
requirements of FIFRA, and has requested that the Secretary comment on 
the proposed rule. This notice is required by FIFRA section 25(a)(2).
