    Title: Requirements for Patent Applications Containing Nucleotide 
Sequence and/or Amino Acid Sequence Disclosures.
    Form Number(s): None.
    Agency Approval Number: 0651-0024.
    Type of Request: Revision of a currently approved collection.
    Burden: 900 hours.
    Number of Respondents: 3,600.
    Avg Hours Per Response: 15 minutes.
    Needs and Uses: The Patent and Trademark Office requires 
biotechnology patent applicants to submit sequence information to 
enable the Patent and Trademark Office to properly examine and process 
their applications.
    Affected Public: Individuals or households, businesses or other 
for-profit instututions, not-for-profit institutions, and Federal 
Government.
    Frequency: As required.
    Respondent's Obligation: Required to obtain or retain benefits.
