AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of public meeting.

SUMMARY: The Western Pacific Fishery Management Council's (Council) 
Hawaii Crustaceans Plan Team (HI-CPT) members will hold a meeting.

DATES: The meeting will be held July 31, 1997, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 
p.m.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The HI-CPT will discuss and may make 
recommendations to the Council on the following agenda items:
    1. Revisions to the Crustaceans Fishery Management Plan (FMP) 
through amendments, arising from the re-authorization of the Magnuson-
Stevens Act;
    2. NMFS annual lobster research cruise in the Northwestern Hawaiian 
Islands (NWHI);
    3. NWHI 1997 lobster fishing season, including the data observer 
program and Vessel Monitoring System to transmit data and report catch;
    4. Possible inconsistencies between Hawaii State and Federal 
lobster fishing regulations;
    5. Areas of the region not included in the FMP; and
    6. Other business as required.
